Ian Gordon
I Eng, MIET
Ian is a successful entrepreneur who has over 40 years of professional experience. Working in ABB as Head of Operations in the 1990’s, Ian started his own engineering company in Scotland. He was managing director of Electrical Power Engineering (EPE), a successful UK-Based and international energy sector consultancy, from 1992 to 2007.
Throughout his career, he has built the design team, adding to organisation’s capabilities by recruiting talented designers, extending the reach of design and project management offering, and applying new technologies and work systems.
Ian has led projects in 6 continents. He has experience of working for investors, industry, and company leaders. In his 40 years of experience he has delivered projects in various sectors such as power transmission, distribution, generation, oil and gas, renewable, pharmaceutical, marine, steel mill and heavy industries.
Dr A. Wahab
phD
Dr. Wahab, achieved his PhD from Germany. He initiated his professional career in Germany, as a power system consultant and has over 10 years of experience. He has more than 10 publications at international forums like IEEE on vast topics including offshore wind farm control, power system frequency stability, damping control of HVDC links, harmonic instability in offshore wind farms, HVDC control, novel direct voltage control of wind turbines, control of wind turbine ensuring stable and secure operation following islanding of wind farms.
He is a specialist in power system studies and modelling of up to 500kV which also includes integration of conventional and renewables (Offshore / Onshore) generation schemes into grid. He has extensive experience in carrying out power system studies for offshore and onshore wind farms, RMS, EMT, solar farms, grid code compliance, harmonic, HVDC, SVC, STATCOMS, PSS tunning, reactive power optimization, frequency response, power quality, fault ride through, fast fault current injection, ferro resonance etc.
Dr. Wahab is a specialist in software’s including DigSilent Power Factory, PSCAD, NETOMAC / PSS Sincal, MATLAB / Simulink and Python.
Jagdeep Singh
(BEng, MSc, CEng, MIET)
Jagdeep, is an experienced high voltage engineer and protection/control designer with experience of approximately 20 years. He has diverse experience, having worked with various sectors such as DNO, ICP, power distribution, renewables, heavy industry, oil and gas, mining, marine and offshore.
He is a specialist in protection and control design for all connection and distribution schemes up to 132kV which includes integration of conventional and renewables generation schemes onto the grid.
He is also capable of carrying out power system studies for various projects utilising Digsilent Power Factory, SKM Power Tools and ETAP. He is also competent in other designing software’s such as ELEK HV CABLES (IEC 60287), CRATER and CDEGS (for earthing). His power system studies include but not limited to P28, P29, load flow, fault studies (IEC 60909), harmonic analysis (IEC 61000, G5/5), arc flash and protection and coordination.
When carrying out projects within oil and gas sector he developed competency in designing electrical infrastructure meeting ATEX/DSEAR requirements.
Faraz Akbar
(BEng, MSc, CEng, MIET)
Faraz, is an experienced power system engineer with extensive knowledge and industrial experience in delivering complex power system, power generation, distribution and HV / LV substation projects for national and international organisation.
Faraz, has more than 12 years of experience in various sectors such as oil and gas (offshore / onshore), DNO, marine, pharmaceutical, steel mill, petrochemical, heavy industry and power distribution.
He is a specialist in power system design, analysis, integration, protection, control and is capable of performing power system studies using SKM and Etap software. He is also an electrical matter expert and has experience in managing and supporting design contractors.
