June Energy UK

Power System Studies and Modelling

June Energy UK engineers have extensive experience of modelling and simulation of power system for wind farm (offshore and onshore), Solar PV farms, grid code compliance , transmission and distribution network, oil and gas, marine, pharmaceutical, refinery, energy storage as well as short term operating reserves (STOR) and conventional generations (steam, diesel, gas and hydro).

Please see the list below for more information:

  • Modelling of wind turbines (DFIG and FSC based WTs)
  • RMS (Dynamic) studies: Power system must remain stable for a variety of disturbances, considering a wide range of dynamic responses for different equipment and system configurations. JUNE ENERGY UK can perform dynamic studies to assess the stability of any network by developing dynamic models for all types of equipment.
  • EMT (electromagnetic transient) studies: Our engineers have experienced in conducting EMT studies to calculate maximum system overvoltages due to fault occurrence/clearing, switching transients, harmonic resonance and transformer energization, ferro resonance, lightning strike and very fast transients (VFTO).
  • Harmonic studies: (IEC 61000, IEEE 519 and UK ER G5/4 and G5/5 – stage 2 and 3).
  • Grid code compliance or grid integration studies.
  • Short circuit / fault studies (ER G74, IEC 60909, IEC 61363)
  • G99 Power system studies
